We have an amazing career opening for a senior hospitality professional with good experience in the events industry who is passionate about delivering excellent customer service. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well established institution with an iconic public venue a loyal audience talented team and strong network of partners.
Our client is a vibrant leisure and arts venue based in the Kendal area of South Cumbria near the Lake District. With an annual turnover of 2.5m they welcome 150000 people every year and host major festivals and events in addition to their regular activities.
As well as being a cultural organisation with a charitable purpose the venue is a social and business hub with a popular bar and restaurant at its heart.
Your job will be to manage a welcoming and high quality catering operation whilst also acting as a member of the organisations senior management team.
Your new job
Manage the bar and catering services operation.
Ensure company and legal requirements are adhered to.
Be the license holder for the company.
Continually exceed customer expectations.
Develop future budget planning and delivery alongside the Financial Director.
Maximise spend per head.
Exceed profit and turnover targets.
Negotiate with suppliers.
Manage staff and rotas.
Work closely with Head Chef to monitor food trends and develop customer offering.
Requirements
Hospitality management background.
Customer focused.
Understanding of budgets.
Friendly and approachable.
An interest in arts and entertainment.
A keen eye for detail.
