We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated OEM Sales Manager to join our team.

Tasks

  • Devise and implement strategies intended to maximize sales and long term sales growth of VPG Force Sensors generic products and bespoke (design-in) solutions within the defined OEM market segment and region.
  • Pro-actively engage with existing customers within the defined OEM market segments and region in all activities both current and potential, with a view to maximizing Sales and organic Sales growth.
  • Identify potential new customers within the defined OEM market segment and region, qualify and develop them as necessary to achieve new business sales in line with company strategy.
  • Be the Face of the company ; lead new development projects by pro-active contact with the prospect or customer, and VPG R&D, Engineering, QA and other associated parties to ensure timely and successful completion of the project. Manage development projects from conception to completion.
  • Negotiate contracts, meet with purchasing, procurement and other key decision-makers in order to establish firm and profitable customer relationships.
  • Analyze and report key sales and project management data and forecast future expectations for the region.

Requirements

  • A degree level technical qualification is preferred but above average levels of numeracy, literacy and IT skills are critical. English should be both spoken and written fluently. Another foreign language would be an advantage.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in the supply or application of sensors within the weighing, force measuring or associated industries is critical.
  • The ability to learn quickly and apply that learning is critical, as is the ability to handle and prioritize a fluctuating, varied and sometimes pressurized workload.
  • Relationships will be developed via telephone, email and face-to-face. Therefore good presentation and communication skills are vital.
  • English should be both spoken and written fluently.
