Role Overview:
Themis Recruit are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Family Solicitor/Legal Executive to handle a diverse caseload involving both private and legal aid family matters. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in family law particularly in areas such as divorce child custody domestic violence and financial settlements. Proficiency in advocacy and the ability to represent clients effectively in court are highly desirable.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Case Management: Manage a varied caseload of family law matters including both private client and legal aid cases.
- Client Representation: Provide highquality legal advice and representation to clients in all aspects of family law.
- Advocacy: Conduct advocacy in Family Court representing clients in hearings and trials.
- Legal Documentation: Draft and review legal documents including pleadings witness statements and court orders.
- Client Liaison: Maintain strong client relationships ensuring clear communication and understanding of their legal issues.
- Legal Aid Work: Demonstrate thorough knowledge and experience with legal aid family work including compliance with legal aid regulations and procedures.
- Hybrid Working: Utilize the firm s hybrid working model to effectively manage workload between officebased and remote working.
- Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with changes in family law and legal practices.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to ensure a seamless service delivery to clients.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with a minimum of 3 years PQE (PostQualified Experience) in family law.
- Demonstrable experience in handling both private and legal aid family law cases.
- Strong advocacy skills with a proven track record of representing clients in Family Court.
- Excellent understanding of legal aid processes and requirements.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a clientfocused approach.
- Ability to work independently and manage a busy caseload efficiently.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professional integrity and ethics.
