TPF Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a fantastic independent firm of chartered certified accountants based near West Malling, who are searching for an Accounts & Tax Manager to join their successful team.As a Manager in the West Malling office, you will join with a chance to carve a career within this successful firm of chartered certified accountants. You will lead and manage the delivery of accounts, tax and wider services to clients across varied industries developing client relationships, taking on a portfolio and work on wider advisory, planning and business services as well as delivering wider project work too. You oversee and review the work of more junior staff, whilst managing an exciting client portfolio and supporting the directors. There is a clear route to progress and take on more responsibility in this Manager position.

Our client has been established in the Kent market for a long time. They are an independent tax planning and business consultancy who provide integrated advice to private clients and their businesses on all aspects of tax planning, business consultancy and financial management. They focus on the planning needs of high-net-worth individuals across owner managers, property investors and international clients.

You will be responsible for:

  • Prepare and review limited company, sole trader and partnership accounts, and corporation tax returns on Iris software.
  • Liaise directly with clients to obtain the necessary information to complete company accounts and tax returns in a timely manner to meet filing and payment deadlines.
  • Identify ways to develop relationships with clients and deliver added value.
  • Achieve team and individual budgets.
  • Maintain the highest technical and professional standard.
  • Provide additional help and guidance to clients as required.
  • Coach, train and develop junior members of staff.


Requirements

  • ACA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience.
  • Relevant experience of accounts and tax work in a practice environment.


Benefits

40,000 - 50,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable. A highly competitive benefits package is also on offer.

You will be AAT or ATT qualified, or qualified by experience with at least 2 years experience working within an accountancy practice environment or personal tax position. You will have experience of preparing tax returns for Manager or Partner review and have experience of relevant tax computation software.
