26T Rigid HGV Driver / Lorry Loader Operator Watford 35k Southern Waiting (2500)

Job Summary:

As a 26T Rigid HGV Driver and Lorry Loader Operator your primary responsibility is to load and unload our equipment and deliver it to designated locations including our sites or client premises. Youll traverse various locations from local authority roads to national depots or head offices. This role based at our Watford depot entails nationwide travel including Ireland often necessitating overnight stays in your vehicle. Flexibility is essential as you may need to work nights and weekends.

Essential Experience:

  • Full HGV 1 (CE) EU license with no more than three penalty points.
  • Experienced lorry loader with ALMI or CPCS lorry loader hook card.
  • Valid Driver Qualifications Card.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in loading securing and unloading loads.
  • Willingness to travel and stay overnight in the UK.

Desirable Experience:

  • Previous experience in a Highways environment.
  • CSCS card holder.
  • Slinger Signaller card holder.
  • Experience in towing varioussize trailers.

  • Minimize environmental impact and prevent pollution incidents.
  • Follow company health and safety protocols identifying and mitigating potential hazards.

  • Comply with all company toolbox talks risk assessments method statements and COSHH assessments.

Client:

  • Conduct yourself professionally and courteously while at client sites adhering to their site rules.

Interdepartmental Working:

  • Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with colleagues across all departments.
