We have a very exciting opportunity for a Power BI Data Engineer working for a very exciting opportunity in Stoke on Trent. This is a tremendous opportunity for the right client to join a large Nationwide organization at the heart of the IT operation.
Purpose
To take complete responsibility for developing and administrating BI tools including transforming raw data into valuable and meaningful insights in the form of appealing dashboards and reports.
Knowledge Skills & Experience Required
Proficiency or familiarity with data science business intelligence and data analytics.
Must be aware of data integration data warehousing and modelling along with presentation tactics and concepts
A minimum of 3 years experience working with BI tools
An indepth knowledge of Microsoft Business Intelligence stack like power pivot SSRS SSIS and SSAS
Must be able to build rich dashboards write DAX expressions and also implement security
Key Results Areas
Study analyse and understand business requirements in the context to business intelligence
Design and map data models to shift raw data into meaningful insights
Utilize Power BI to build interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports
Spot key performance indicators with apt objectives
Analyse previous and present data for better decisionmaking
Transform business requirements into technical publications
Build multidimensional data models
Develop strong data documentation about algorithms parameters and models
Take care of data warehouse development
Identify the requirements and develop custom charts accordingly
SQL querying for better results
