We have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Contracts Manager across North Lincolnshire and surrounding areas, overseeing vegetation management works, mainly around inland

Reporting to the Contract Manager, you will contribute to the team's performance and You will take ownership of a wide variety of projects from start to finish, ensuring we exceed our client s expectations on safety, quality, and operational

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Completion of projects on time and to exceptional standards while maintaining profit margins
  • Management of both directly employed staff and subcontractors
  • Ensuring all works adhere to the required Health & Safety standards
  • Allocation of resources including plant, equipment, and materials
  • Undertaking safety and quality site inspections and audits
  • Client communication and relationship building
  • Mentoring and coaching staff
  • Identifying and acting on business development opportunities
  • Collaboration and liaison with other departments and colleagues within Ground Control
  • Pricing of a variety of works, such as tree works, invasive treatment, flailing, weed cutting, fencing, and planting

The ideal Assistant Contract Manager would have:

    • Vegetation management experience
    • Experience in managing or supporting multiple projects simultaneously
    • Great communication skills, including stakeholder engagement
    • Strong organisational skills to prioritise workload
    • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships, demonstrating great teamwork skills
    • Understanding of Health & Safety precautions
    • Supervisor or management experience
    • Experience in pricing all types of veg management works
    • IOSH
    • SSSTS
    • Sound literacy, numeracy, and IT skills
    • Full driving licence (essential)

    It would also be beneficial if you have a background in Arboriculture and experience delivering works located in or around water and
