Senior Fluidcare Technician







This is an exciting opportunity to join the Quaker Houghton team at a time when we are investing to further strengthen our position as market leaders.
The Senior FluidCare Technicians' role is to support the day-to-day operational activities agreed upon within the contracted scope of work.
Working closely with the customer's site key contacts to manage the Quaker Houghton fluid management services, by supporting and monitoring all Metal Working Fluids by the completion of onsite test analysis.
Ensuring machines have sufficient lubricant supply by regular scheduled volume checks. Complying with Quaker Houghton EHS policies and procedures, ensuring mandatory tasks are completed within a specific time frame.
Data recording is critical for ensuring KPIs are adhered to and presented to customer key contacts. Must have the ability to use own initiative in making key operational decisions and communicating effectively within the wider Quaker Houghton teams.
Tasks
- Manage the use of the fluids on the shop floor in the most efficient manner.
- Carry out analysis and corrective actions on water-based fluids.
- Make fluid additions to maintain machine performance.
- Clean out machine sumps when required.
- Promote Quaker Houghton on the shop floor.
- Present a good image of the company on the shop floor.
- Build relationships with customer shop floor personnel.
- Carryout site duties as per the work schedule.
- Record results from analysis carried out on the shop floor.
- Identify site requirements, provide solutions and where possible suggest ways of continuously improving the services provided to the customer by Quaker Houghton
- To provide other specifically agreed Fluidcare services as and when required by the Site Manager.
Requirements
- This role is essential to supporting the daily operational activities. Attention to detail, initiative and communication are essential, so that all Quaker Houghton business functions are aligned and kept updated.
- Strong organization and time management skills will be critical in this role
- Leadership or management experience and working within a manufacturing environment would be beneficial.
- Good IT skills with the use of office 365 software packages are essential.
