The Role
We are looking to recruit aBusiness Intelligence Analyst (Data)into our business. This is an excellent opportunity for a bright, motivated individual who is ready to take on a key role supporting the firm in its data-driven decision-making.
You will be familiar with the Microsoft SQL and Power BI toolsets and have experience in the provision of management information and data visualisation to business users, as well as the delivery and validation of structured datasets prepared on a schedule to a fixed format. Experience of reporting in a regulated environment is desirable but not essential
Key aspects of the role include:
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to identify areas of the business that could benefit from analysis
- Reviewing data collection processes and assessing the validity of the information stored
- Identifying anomalous data and examining and eliminating any processes or procedures that contribute to unreliable data being collected
- Streamlining BI processes, driving best practice
- Providing regular reporting to the Board, Committees, and external Regulatory bodies
- Assisting in the production of forecasting models and other insight and analysis tools
- Implementing self-service analytics for meaningful insights
- Working closely with the IT department to ensure that the data collection and storage systems are secure and robust
- Understanding the laws surrounding the collecting and processing of data and ensuring that all policies reflect current legislation
- Develop data visualisations and dashboards to address key questions and metrics
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to prioritise, work at a Senior level, cope under pressure and work to strict deadlines. Good communication, excellent analytical skills, precise reporting & presentation skills are essential as is managing expectations across a wide range of competing needs. Attention to detail, a good work ethic, a willingness to cover a variety of tasks and work outside core hours on occasion if necessary.
