Hola we re on a mission to make it easy for companies to build great experiences without worrying about how to move money. Today, companies have to deal with spreadsheets and clunky bank portals to get things done. We are changing this.

We are a bunch of payment experts that have worked in Curve, Stripe, Checkout, TrueLayer and Visa. We recently announced our $6m seed funding backed by VCs including CRV, Earlybird Ventures and some of Europe's leading FinTech founders and operators as angel investors.

The Role

We re looking for an ambitious Senior Frontend Engineer with at least 5 years experience who can drive front-end development decisions within a project team and is comfortable working in close collaboration with the stakeholders.

As an effective collaborator, you will be able to contribute directly to projects in a quick and efficient manner, as well as work with less experienced members of your team to help increase both their quality and velocity.

With a keen eye, attention to detail and creative flair, you are able to develop elegant solutions that bring life to the designer s visions.

Tasks

What the job involves

  • Scope and drive large technical projects, laying the groundwork for early-stage products to evolve and scale iteratively.
  • Develop and execute against both short and long-term roadmaps by making practical tradeoffs that consider business priorities, user experience, and a sustainable technical foundation.
  • Improve and optimize code while maintaining our high engineering standard and bringing consistency across the company's codebase.
  • Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
  • You will provide guidance and support by mentoring and coaching other individual contributors.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, such as product, design, infrastructure, marketing, and operations.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of technical documentation.

Requirements

You may be a fit for this role if you:

  • Have a solid technical background with experience designing large-scale engineering systems.
  • Have solid knowledge of implementing SEO standards; including URL structure, redirects, sitemaps, semantic markup, structured data, metadata etc
  • Have solid knowledge of front-end performance optimisation techniques
  • Have solid knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript ES6 across cross-browser/device
  • Have solid knowledge of using a modern JavaScript Framework such as React
  • Have solid knowledge integrating with API endpoints by following the leading market's best practices and patterns.
  • Have a strong product and customer mindset.
  • Have a good understanding and experience with TypeScript and NextJS
  • Be familiar with building design systems and component libraries
  • Are comfortable working on a new product under fluid conditions, seamlessly balancing tactical and strategic considerations
  • Critical thinking, strong analytical skills and an ability to think logically with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Great oral and written communication skills.
  • Years of experience working in fintech is a plus, not a must.

If you don't meet all the requirements but think you might still be suitable for the role, please apply, as we're always keen to speak to people who connect with our mission and values.
