Salary: 26,838 per annum (Full time equivalent 44,730 per annum)

Contract: Maternity Cover, 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract

Hours: 21 hours a week

We are looking for a confident Professional Support Pharmacist to join our team at RPS and be part of a multi-functioning team. You will be providing professional advice and develop support tools for our members and support across a wide spectrum of pharmacy practice and professional development related issues. You will contribute to the review and improvement of our systems, processes and operations for enquiry handling, and production of resources.

Requirements:

    • Pharmacist registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) with experience post-qualification practice.
    • Knowledge and experience of working in the NHS, industry or community pharmacy practice
    • A good understanding of the core issues encountered in daily pharmacy practice in GB
    • Excellent customer service skills including a high level of interpersonal and telephone skills.
    • Ability to quickly and accurately assimilate information and manage priorities in a fast-changing environment.
    • Ability to document information and maintain appropriate records
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with evidence of having produced quality resources.
    • Demonstrable experience of team working
    • Experience of developing and maintaining good working relationships with key stakeholders.
    • Experience of developing and training others
    • Good presentation skills and IT skills including MS word, Excel and PowerPoint.

    The Directorate

    The RPS Professional Membership & Education (PMED) directorate is responsible for:

    • Leading and supporting members and the profession to deliver and continually improve high-quality patient care.
    • Defining and assuring post-registration standards of pharmacy practice through curricula, assessments, and credentialing.
    • Supporting members and the profession to deliver and promote the highest standards of pharmacy practice and professionalism.
    • Advancing pharmacy practice and science by educating the profession to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to meet changing patient needs.

    The Team

    We are a team of pharmacists working across England, Scotland, and Wales who are passionate about supporting our members with their professional queries. We have experience in a range of pharmacy sectors and work collaboratively to ensure we learn from each other.

    How we are currently working

    RPS supports and works in a hybrid way, which means you will be able to work from home, however, there will be an expectation for collaborative face-to-face working on average and typically this may be something between 4-8 working days per month at our London Office.
