Role: Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Tonbridge, Kent
Salary: £Competitive + Benefits

Our client, a rapidly expanding manufacturer with an excellent reputation for high-quality goods, is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to lead their growing team on a permanent contract. This is an important and responsible role and for the right candidate, would provide a very rewarding challenge.
Main responsibilities:
- Meeting the day-to-day maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and servicing of the plant machinery.
- Generally maintaining all plant equipment to maximise available production activities whilst ensuring a safe working environment in line with the company's Health and Safety procedures.
- Meeting the key targets of limiting downtime.
- Making recommendations for plant improvement in terms of safety and productivity.
- Adhering and improving health and safety and food safety policies and procedures.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Apprenticeship/HNC in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
- Previous maintenance experience preferred.
- Hands-on approach with the technical expertise to make appropriate decisions for engineering tasks.
- Multi-skilled Engineering, mainly mechanical but also electrical.
- Technically astute in diagnosing breakdowns, fault finding, and decision-making to minimise downtime.
- Flexibility and energy to meet a very demanding production environment.
- High attention to detail and experience in maintaining and updating high-specification production machinery.
- Strong teamwork with the initiative to work on their own.
