Our client is a very successful Accountancy firm with a growing client base in and around Kent, Essex and London
They deliver an excellent service and recruit the best finance staff to support their services
After winning yet more clients, there is now the capacity to grow the bookkeeping department to assist in all daily, weekly and monthly bookkeeping requirements
Our client is ideally looking for a candidate with 5 years + experience to be mainly office based
A car driver is ideal as you will be required on some days to be on site at client locations as well as some remote working from home

An experienced Bookkeeper from an Accountancy Practice Background
Daily Bookkeeping requirements for clients of all sizes from sole traders upwards
Excellent knowledge of Sage, Xero, Quick books, Dext, Excel
Bought ledger, sales ledger, Nominal Ledger, Trial Balance
Excel Spreadsheet creation
VAT returns
Payroll
Management Reporting
Advisory skills when needed

Requirements Work closely with a variety of clients from sole traders to large corporations Use Xero, Receipt Bank, Sage, and Excel daily Ideally you will have 5 years experience, preferably with a firm of Accountants In depth Excel Be a key contact for all day-to-day bookkeeping requirements Complete VAT returns for clients and give advice when required VAT calculations on imports, exports, reverse charges Complete complex reconciliations for CIS and VAT Resolve potential client issues regarding their accounts Work closely with the accounting teams to assist on report preparation and reconciliations Produce management reports and explain figures where necessary This is a challenging and demanding position as it requires deadlines to be met and an excellent quality of service
