We are looking for a support worker/personal care assistant for our young lady in the Basildon area. This post is for 10hrs per week: Monday 9am 7pm with the opportunity to work an additional 2 days per week on 13 weeks out of the year.



About the Client and Support Needed:
I am looking for exceptional dedicated skilled personal care assistants to support me to maintain my independence and assist me in the development of social networks. I want to be as active as possible and I will require you to accompany me to various outdoor venues. You will be required to maintain and promote my safety whilst at home and undertaking social activities.

I love crafts knitting and keeping my mind active. I like shopping coffee shops the theatre and going out to see new things. On Wednesdays I attend my local sports centre. My favourite game to play is boccia and I also like trampolining and swimming. I have been told that I am kindhearted have a lovely nature and Im a pleasure to work with!

As a member of my care team you will be responsible for a wide range of asks that can vary by the day so an amount of flexibility is required. You will need to be reliable caring supportive and respectful. You must have excellent communication skills and work in line with the set policies and procedures in place.

  • Administration of medication
  • Personal care may be necessary
  • Mental health support needs
  • Assisting me in the community
  • Administrative duties
  • Accompanying me to attend appointments

You will be trained to CQC standards to meet the needs of the client. If you are already known to the client and have care experience this will be valued. Unless specified elsewhere previous care experience is not essential.


Essential Requirements Identified for this Role:
  • An enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this vacancy (expense to be met by HomeCareDirect)
  • This post is exempt under The Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9 Part 1 there is a genuine occupational requirement to recruit female support workers only
  • It is essential that you have a full valid UK driving licence and your own vehicle
  • Prepared to commit to long term care for one client in a personcentred way
  • Willing to be trained to CQC standards to meet the clients needs

We will be your legal employer on behalf of the client and you will not be asked to support other clients. All of our contracts are for permanent positions with a 6 month probationary period
