Project Engineer London

Role is remote, however you will need to get to London for Project so live within 90 minutes

We are looking for a person to join our team of Project Engineers who are responsible for implementing varied IT projects and changes across many different types of customer networks and setups.

Depending on the type of project this could be as part of a project team, however you are also expected to be able to work on smaller projects independently.

You will work with a Project Lead to deliver the solution proficiently and on budget.

Responsibilities include:

Scoping and designing of new and prospective projects

Assisting with project planning on larger projects

Building, Configuring and Implementing Projects to specification

Ensuring documentation following a project is up to date and assist with training of the team when required.

Onboarding of new customers which would include deploying relevant monitoring tools, configuring system/backup monitoring and documenting

Technical Pre-Sales consulting assisting the sales team on larger tenders

Providing remote and onsite support for complex issues and changes to customers.

Requirements

At least five years of proven IT experience

Comfortable working unsupervised and as part of a team

Excellent presentation, communication, and literacy skills

High punctuality we expect our staff to be ready to work at start times

An excellent understanding IT terminology

Proven experience with:

o Windows Server 2022 and earlier / Desktop Windows 11 and earlier

o Active Directory Management

o Microsoft 365 technologies, OneDrive, SharePoint

o Firewalls, routers, switches, and access points

o Virtualization VMWare and Hyper-V

o Backup solutions Veeam / Azure

o Connectivity diagnostics

Have a willingness to continue learning

Employ a logical approach to problem solving

Great commercial awareness

Be flexible and willing to work paid out of hours on certain issues/projects

A full valid UK Driving Licence

Must have the right to live and work in the UK.

Desirable

Relevant IT Certifications

Experience with Apple MacOS

Previous working experience for a Managed Service Provider (MSP)

Previous working experience as a Project Engineer

Experience using ConnectWise Manage CRM

Knowledge of Ubiquiti Unifi, Draytek Routers and Sophos Firewall hardware

Knowledge of WithSecure, Sophos Central, Private Cloud solutions
