About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of young mathematicians. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and stimulating Maths lessons across the curriculum catering to Key Stage 3/4/5 in line with the National Curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Delivery:
    • Plan deliver and evaluate engaging and challenging Maths lessons that cater to a diverse range of abilities and learning styles.
    • Utilize a variety of teaching methods to ensure all students develop a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and can apply them effectively.
    • Integrate technology effectively to enhance learning and student engagement.
  • Assessment and Feedback:
    • Design and implement effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress and identify areas for improvement.
    • Provide clear constructive feedback that helps students develop their mathematical skills and confidence.
  • Curriculum Development:
    • Contribute to the ongoing development of the Maths curriculum ensuring it aligns with the schools vision national requirements and the latest advancements in Maths education.
    • Stay abreast of current trends and best practices in Maths pedagogy implementing innovative approaches to enhance student learning.
  • Supporting Student Development:
    • Build strong and positive relationships with students fostering their confidence and enjoyment of Maths.
    • Provide targeted support and intervention strategies to ensure all students achieve their full potential.
    • Promote a growth mindset and encourage a love of learning.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork:
    • Collaborate effectively with other members of the Maths department to share best practices and ensure a consistent approach to teaching and learning.
