What you will achieve

Who we are seeking

  • You have accumulated a considerable knowledge and experience of infrastructure (virtualisation, networking, storage, monitoring, Windows Server 2012/16/19, Active Directory, ) through a strong relevant engineering degree and/or solid experience in infrastructure-related
  • You have substantial experience of on-prem data centre maintenance and
  • You have reasonable experience of
  • Microsoft Azure in a hybrid environment and moving to a full cloud platform
  • In depth experience of networking technologies
  • Hand-on experience of configuring networking devices such as Firewalls, Switches, Routers
  • Professional certifications such as (CCNA/CCNP/JNCIA) or equivalent experience
  • Security experience (Pentesting/SoC) would be beneficial, not essential
  • In-depth knowledge of networking principals and technologies such as VLAN, CIDR, LLDP, VRRP SNMP, etc
  • Awareness of working towards recognised security accreditations and adopting and implementing IT security best practise
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with staff at all levels of the business
  • Managing a large IT estate using remote deployment and monitoring tools
  • Ability to work on your own initiative but fully recognise the importance of being a part of a wider cohesive team unit
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and can express product requirements in a clear, structured fashion to both technical and non-technical
