The Role

As a Business Officer, your role is to provide administrative support within the Service and occasionally across the organization. This involves contributing to the effective office operation, setting up and maintaining systems and processes, and engaging with customers on service delivery and financial matters.

Tasks

  1. Daily Operations:
  • Execute daily tasks as directed.
  • Offer flexible coverage.
  • Maintain data security and confidentiality.
  1. Customer Support:
  • Proactively address inquiries.
  • Record, resolve, and escalate customer issues.
  • Support teams and provide expertise.
  • Challenge constructively and promote change.
  1. Team and Service Support:
  • Organize meetings and handle bookings.
  • Gather and report data, assist managers.
  • Facilitate induction and support service initiatives.
  1. Communication:
  • Clearly convey messages.
  • Attend meetings and collaborate with partners.
  1. Financial Management:
  • Manage financial activities and reconcile expenditures.
  • Adhere to CCC policies and promote cost-effective spending.
  • Contribute to savings and maintain accurate records.

Requirements

Person Specification:Qualifications Required:

  • General Education to GCSE standard with an A-C grade in English & Maths or equivalent standard.
  • NVQ or other qualification in Business Administration.

Knowledge:

  • Demonstrable experience of working in a business support environment.
  • Some knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Knowledge and understanding of GDPR, Data Protection.
  • Understanding of customer care principles.

Skills:

  • IT skills sufficient for accurate data inputting and record management.
  • Good interpersonal, listening, and communication skills.
  • Good organizational and administrative skills.
  • Able to ensure targets and deadlines are met.
  • Able to work accurately with financial and numerical information.
  • Resilience to work in a challenging environment.
  • Positive approach to change.

Experience:

  • Administrative experience, especially in an office environment.
  • Experience of using spreadsheets, databases, word processors, and various computer applications.
