GEAR CUTTING PROGRAMMER SETTER & OPERATOR

Our client based in Hampshire is an industry leading gear manufacturing company. Their customers are in the Aerospace Defence & OEM markets. They are looking to employ on a fulltime permanent basis an experienced Gear Cutting Programmer Setter and Operator.

The basis of the role is to assist in the manufacture of highquality precision components for aerospace application in both commercial and military sectors.

Gear Cutting Programmer Setter & Operator Offer

40 hour week; initially Monday to Thursday 07:00 to 15:45 Friday 06:00 to 13:00

After a 2nd shift is introduced Monday to Thursday hours will be brought forward by 30 minutes

2 x breaks per day Mon Thur 09:30 to 10:00 (Fri 09:30 09:50) and 12:30 to 13:00. One break is paid and must be taken

15.00 to 20.00hr depending on experience Annualised as 31200 to 41600 depending on experience

33 days annual leave (including public holidays)

Overtime is available but not guaranteed

Pension (3.5% employer 5% employee)

Gear Cutting Programmer Setter & Operator Responsibilities

Work to the highest detail in using metal Gear Cutting machines (hobbing broaching milling grinding and skiving)

Undertake machine setups including loading programs

Check loading and clamping is correct

Ensure all incycle activities (deburring etc.) are performed

Maintain tooling ensuring all machine components are operational

Adhere to the company s health and safety requirements and complete training as required

Gear Cutting Programmer Setter & Operator Requirements

Extensive experience in a similar industry / role and a strong understanding of Gear Cutting machines (hobbing broaching milling grinding and skiving) essential

Strong understanding technical drawings (preferred)

Solid communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to prioritise workloads
