TPF Recruitment is currently working with an impressive Top 30 chartered accountancy practice who are looking for a Payroll Assistant Manager to join their East Kent office. The payroll Assistant Manager is a key member to their payroll team and will be reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, and Partners. You will join a larger, and well-established payroll team, where there will be lots of opportunities to progress.
The Payroll Assistant Manager will have considerable experience in a practice or bureau environment and will be responsible for managing their own portfolio of work, as well as overseeing, and supporting a team of more junior staff.
- Manage multiple payrolls for a diverse client portfolio
- Support the team in respect of processes relevant to payroll & benefits
- Managing queries related to tax, benefits, salary, allowances
- Managing P11D s and Annual Returns
- Assisting with Auto enrolment processes
- Review work and supervise junior members of the team.
Requirements
- Experience in delivering payroll services to clients.
- Minimum of 2-3 years payroll processing.
- Attention to detail.
- Exceptional managerial skills.
- Knowledge of CIS and RTI procedures.
- Understanding of payroll systems and software (Star, Iris, QuickBooks etc.)
- Confident communicator
- Excellent IT skills
- Organisational skills
Benefits
- 28,000 - circa 32,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable.
