It s an exciting time to join the Claims Home and Motor team of our blue-chip financial services client. We re recruiting now if you re looking for a great opportunity.
As a Claims Handler, youll be providing full claims handling in relation to Home Emergency assistance to customers and clients in the UK. Ensuring that customer expectations are met and exceeded on every call. You ll be liaising with property networks, internal or external departments, making sure all parties are kept fully informed of the situation until the work is completed.
Our client has adopted a Hybrid way of working, empowering their people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and their customers. This will be 3 days at their Redhill office and 2 days working remotely from home to give you that extra work life balance.
Working Hours & Shift Patterns:
Full time: Claims Handlers work on a rotating shift pattern, 35 hours per week, 8-hour shifts over 5 days which will include Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays.
Salary:
Full time salary for this role is 21,000 to 21,500 dependent on experience and shift patterns worked. This includes the shift allowance we offer, which can be up to an additional 5% on top of your base salary.
Induction & Training:
Induction Dates: 14th & 28th November
Our client provides 4 weeks of fully comprehensive training for this role, which you will be paid for. It s important that you receive all the material and knowledge needed to succeed in this role.
What you ll be doing:
Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service by providing relevant and accurate information to every customer based on your professional expertise and training.
Use your initiative as well as information resources available to provide the best outcome for the customer
Answer calls adhering to standard response times whilst ensuring accurate and timely completion of case notes, logs and diaries for each customer
Utilise strong attention to detail, remaining calm in the face of challenge to effectively help customers when they need us the most.

Qualifications
What you ll need:
All we ask for is great customer service skills as customers are at the heart of everything our client does and if youre as passionate about helping customers as they are, you re already one step closer
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
The sensitivity and empathy to deal with customers who may be distressed by their reasons for making an insurance claim
The ability to remain calm and pay attention to detail
Computer literate, Microsoft Office
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
