Deputy Children’s Home Manager
Salary: £35000 & Joining Bonus £3000
Schedule: MondayFriday 95 37.5 hours per week

Responsibilities:
- Work alongside the Care team on shifts and supervising the staff team
- Be responsible for the effective daytoday running of the home in the absence of the Registered Manager
- Working flexibly to meet changing demands and be willing to take on new tasks and responsibilities.
- Be responsible for work allocations and ensuring effective teamwork
- Support the Registered Manager in ensuring compliance with policies and procedures the SOP and meeting all Ofsted regulations Quickly establish trusting relationships with children and provide practical daytoday care for them in a loving and supportive way which enables their growth and development
- Take the lead in developing care plans and then work with each child to follow their care plan to reflect their changing needs and be proactive in working to achieve the aims of their care plan
- Develop expertise in legal aspects of residential care and empower children to learn about their rights express their views and participate in decisions that affect them and to listen to them and take their wishes and feelings into account
- Cowork with other professionals to create a therapeutic environment for children using techniques to improve their selfregulation their emotional competence and connectedness to others
- Encourage children to fully participate in society by developing links with the local community and expanding their social network Support children to see family and friends and to have them visit when appropriate
- Lead on the risk assessment of activities transport children to activities outings holidays education as necessary (in Juno vehicles) and accompany them on public transport
- Maintain accurate records that are objective and strengthsbased in relation to children and oversee the records kept by colleagues Ensure all records and reports address the needs of children and the requirements of Ofsted and partner agencies or other professionals

Who we are looking for:
- Someone with a level 3 in Children’s residential care (or equivalent) and at least 2 years’ experience of working within a Children’s residential setting.
- Experience in supervising staff
- Competence in using various Microsoft Software
- Full clean driving license
- An experienced Senior of Deputy looking to further their career.
