A fantastic position has opened in the Clapham Junction area foran experienced Orthodontic Nurseto work in a well-established specialist practice.

Who we are:A fast-paced mixed NHS and private practice close to Clapham Junction train station.

The role:This role requires an experiencedOrthodontic Nurse. You will be meeting and greeting patients, chairside clinician assistance and any other assigned general nursing duties in compliance with IPC Standards and Guidelines.

Position:Orthodontic Nurse

Pay rate:as advertised (depending on experience)

Working hours:min 40 hours per week (full-time position)

  • from Monday to Friday (as per rota) 7.5/8.75 hours from 08:45 to 17:15/18:30
  • and Saturdays from 9:45 14:00

Start date:Upon review and shortlisting candidates, we will perform the interviews (in the next 2-6 weeks).



Requirements

Required qualification:

  • Completed NEBDN National Diploma in Dental Nursing
  • Completed Dental Radiography for Dental Care Professionals qualification
  • Completed NEBDN Certificate in Orthodontic Dental Nursing

Required experience:

  • Must have 2 years of general dental experience
  • Must have 2 years of orthodontic nursing experience
  • Must have strong dental assistance skills
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of disinfection and sterilisation techniques

Required skills:

  • Must have strong working experience in the use of AssistOrth DoIt patient management system
  • Must have strong working experience in the use of the Microsoft Office 365 platform

Required attributes:

  • Must be GDC registered
  • Must have professional indemnity
  • Friendly personality, customer service experience and team player
  • Must be willing to learn and progress
  • Must be reliable and well organised
  • Must be calm under pressure
  • Have a great command of the English language (written and spoken)

Desirable:

  • Completed Certificate in Impression-Taking
  • Completed Certificate in Advanced Impression Taking
  • Completed NEBDN Certificate in Oral Health Education Qualification
