IT Project Manager Hybrid working 2 days a week from office in London SE1

The IT Project Manager will be responsible for delivering the migration of data to SharePoint Online so will need to work with end users on data requirements and preferences and then work with technical teams to oversee the data migration process itself. Key skills around understanding user requirements, communicating between technical and non-technical audiences, mapping out the project using RAID and following it through the cycle.

The IT Project Manager will also oversee the Intranet Modernisation this is the secondary project here and is a project that will be run by a third-party supplier. The PM s role here will be to sit between the supplier and the end users of The Salvation Army. So, again, communication skills, supplier management skills, stakeholder management skills are essential.

The IT Project Manager will work with stakeholders to understand and analyse requirements, develop plans and design solutions. They will communicate with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to ensure successful delivery and adoption of the process and technical changes.

The company has adopted industry standard project and programme management methodologies and expects IT and IT-related projects to follow PRINCE 2 project management methodology guidelines.

Main responsibilities

Project manage all the SharePoint migration projects to agreed time, cost and quality criteria.

Produce and maintain project management documentation including project plans, RAID registers, and project status reports in accordance with the IT Department project management processes and procedures.

Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required activities and tasks.

Define and document all phases of projects including tasks, escalation paths, milestones and acceptance criteria.

Review and validate work plans of external service providers contracted to execute elements of the project.

Ensure that risks, issues and changes are documented and managed effectively.

Liaise with project sponsors, stakeholders, and staff in order to achieve project goals.

Produce presentations to communicate project goals and status to stakeholders.

Ensure that project goals are accomplished and in line with business objectives.

Support other functional and operational areas such as testing, documentation, and training as required.

Facilitate the release of the project to the support/services team.

Requirements

Good experience and demonstrable success in managing projects of the migration of data to SharePoint Online, delivering them to agreed time, cost and quality criteria.

A recognised Project Management qualification such as Prince II.

Significant experience of producing and maintaining project management documentation including project plans, RAID registers, and project status reports

Proven ability to communicate difficult or complex ideas clearly, often to multiple stakeholder audiences

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to lead and facilitate workshops and meetings

Ability to summarise and organise information

Ability to produce clear and concise documentation

Good interpersonal and negotiation skills and political awareness

Ability to work both as part of a team and pro-actively on own initiative

Capacity to forge strong business relationships with external suppliers

Possess the ability to work to tight deadlines and work well under pressure

Ability to assimilate and interpret advice from both technical and missional colleagues

Well organised and methodical with good time management skills

Are educated to degree level or equivalent in a professional or related discipline
