This is a remote position.

We're looking for a high-energy, tech-driven professional IT- Administrator to join our high-growth company. You will be required to maintain, upgrade and manage our software, hardware and networks. We look to you to be an excellent communicator, listener, and person with a professional yet approachable public persona. Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. You should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly.


The ideal candidate will be a tenacious, self-starter every day and have the opportunity to help build REM Waste s technical infrastructure and take your career to the next level!


  • Install, configure and upgrade software, hardware and networks.

  • Build internal technical documentation, manuals and IT policies.

  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues and outages.

  • Ensure security and efficiency of IT infrastructure.

  • Set up accounts and remote-workstations.

  • Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies.

  • Manage the movement of equipment between locations as needed across the UK.

  • Initiate equipment repair, shipping them to service and monitor their status for repair and/or replacement.

  • Manage the activity of tracking and ensure that all assets are accurately accounted for in the asset database.

  • Track software assets, such as licence keys, version, and renewal information.

  • Manage employees inventory (including laptops, tablets, software applications, servers, headphones etc.) for in-office needs.

  • Perform periodic asset audits to ensure that all records are complete and up to date.

  • Manage and track the return of assets for terminated employees.

  • I'm considering adding more responsibilities here. I am avoiding specifics for the time being.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.




Requirements

  • Experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, Asset Management or similar role

  • Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery

  • Familiarity with various operating systems, ITAM lifecycle, asset management principles.

  • Strong sense of communication and phone skills.

  • English proficiency.

  • Experience with Salesforce, Google Workspace.
