Digital Officer
Our client is looking for an effective, collaborative digital officer to complement the existing small team. This is a fixed term 2-year contract which offers a proactive team player an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the charitable sector working as part of a small supportive team to deliver organisationally transformative change.
Role and responsibilities
- -To review current IT infrastructure and policies in the light of the objectives.
- -To analyse the International Office s digital technology needs and architecture and recommend changes to existing policies and software and equipment to improve efficiency.
- -To design and implement improved policies to ensure more effective global co-operation (including on-line collaborative spaces, tools for communication, tools for data collection), as far as possible using existing IT provision.
- -To work with the Communications team to increase the potential reach and impact of the online presence, recommending and implementing technical changes to improve profile and engagement.
- -To provide expert technical support, training, and advice to IO staff to help them use existing or new software to support delivery of the business plan.
- -To manage administrative services for existing or new IT systems, most likely through liaison with a third party.
- -Excellent knowledge of and experience as administrator with the full range of Microsoft Office 365 tools (including SharePoint, teams, forms, but also able to discuss the merits of applications such as yammer or various power apps)
- -Ability to listen and design systems according to specific user needs/business activity.
- -Experience of website design and administration
- -Strong communication skills and experience of acting as in-house trainer/facilitator
- -Creative, proactive approach to problem-solving and analysis of solutions
- -Team player, ideally with experience of working with geographically distant colleagues
