Position Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive and engaging Mathematics curriculum to students across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the possibility of teaching at Key Stage 5 depending on experience and qualifications. The role entails fostering a dynamic and supportive learning environment that encourages students to develop their mathematical skills problemsolving abilities and critical thinking.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver stimulating Maths lessons that align with the national curriculum and the schools educational ethos.
- Create a positive classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement and participation.
- Assess and monitor student progress providing constructive feedback to facilitate individual growth.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Maths department and across the school to enrich the learning experience.
- Stay abreast of current pedagogical approaches and developments in Mathematics education.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelors degree or higher in Mathematics or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Mathematics at the secondary level.
