Childcare Practitioner / Nursery Nurse

9.97 per hour

Full & part-time positions available

We are currently recruiting for full-time & Part-time Nursery Practitioners to work in a pre-school room.

You will need to have a minimum Level 2 childcare qualification and at least 1 years experience working in a nursery setting and be familiar with the EYS framework.

The nursery is set in its own grounds with parking. We have been open since 1996 and provide high quality facilities including our own indoor soft play centre for children 3 months to 5 years.

CHILDCARE PRACTITIONER:

As a Childcare Practitioner you must to be able to relate to children in a friendly, calm manner whilst ensuring their physical, intellectual, emotional and social skills are being developed.

Good time keeping, attendance and personal presentation are essential aspects of the job.

Brief outline of responsibilities (but not limited to).

Positive liaison with parents whilst maintaining confidentiality.

Follow the company s current policies and procedures.

Ensure that the Inclusive Policy is adhered to.

Practice and promote Montessori methods and principles.

Demonstrate positive and consistent commitment to the care of children.

Be a good role model and behave in an appropriate manner.

Provide a stimulating environment through play and other activities.

Support the Team Leader in ensuring that resources are age appropriate and well maintained.

Maintain safe and hygienic environment. /Report hazards or damages, as necessary.

Ensure every effort is made to toilet children and establish good hygiene practices.

Manage time effectively.

Maintain record keeping and assessment of children as required.

Use initiative and participate fully in the planning and development of programmes for children.

Work as an effective member of a team.

Any areas of concern regarding team members or children to be discussed with Team Leader or Management.

Requirements


Level 2 or 3 Childcare qualification
At least 1 years experience working in a childcare setting
Familiar with EYFS framework
Subject to enhance DBS check and satisfactory references

Paediatric First Aid training (provided by company)
