TPF Recruitment are supporting a market leading regional firm of chartered accountants in their search for an Audit & Accounts Semi Senior. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of Kents leading accountancy practices in an exciting position across both accounts and audit. There are excellent progression prospects on offer and you will work with a mixed client base across both corporate and not for profit industries. This position will suit an ambitious applicant who is looking to have a highly successful career within an accountancy practice.
As an Audit & Accounts Semi Senior, you will have a hands on role, and be responsible for:
- Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
- Preparing monthly or quarterly management accounts.
- Preparing VAT returns
- Reviewing and completing more complex Bookkeeping on behalf of clients.
- Supervising and reviewing the work of junior team members.
- Completing basic corporation tax and self assessment tax returns.
Requirements
The ideal candidate for this Audit & Accounts opportunity will have relevant previous experience in a practice and will have completed the AAT, or studying their ACA/ACCA qualification or be equivalently experienced.
- Strong experience within an accountancy practice carrying out accounts preparation, VAT and tax preparation.
- Experience of both corporate and not for profit clients would be advantageous.
- 3-5 years practical experience within an accountancy practice environment
- Prior experience of cloud accounting software such as Quickbooks, Sage or Xero.
Benefits
25,000 - 35,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable.
