Activity Coordinator







Kestrel HR are looking for a proactive dedicated compassionate person to enhance the lives of the lovely residents at Dunwood Manor Nursing Home near Romsey by organising a fabulous programme of activities.
The role includes:
- Organising and planning activity programmes reflecting residents preferences
- Producing a newsletter to inform residents and their relative/friends of what s going on
- Supporting residents to access the internet and work on communication activities such as letter writing and video calling
- Plan sociable events within an allocated budget
- Ensure residents are at the heart of events and programmes to enhance their physical and mental wellbeing providing opportunities to develop new interests as well as maintaining those they currently have
Youll likely have previous experience of working in a similar role and environment and have knowledge of event planning and techniques.
The role is full or parttime with an agreed schedule of 36 hours over seven days. It would require you to be flexible for example when a special event is planned you might work less hours through the week and make up the hours on a weekend this would be more occasional than the norm.
Hourly rate is 12.39
Youll need to be at least doublejabbed against Covid19 to work in the home.

- Proficient computer skills to research activities and events to support internet use and produce colourful posters and newsletters
- Leadership skills to encourage residents to attend or join an activity and motivate them and keep them engaged throughout the event
- Speaking skills you need to be able to speak clearly and passionately to people answer questions and keep people motivated
- Communication skills you should be able to speak with a variety of different groups listen to their needs and work with bigger groups
- Problem solving you should be able to fix situations quickly or adjust activities for all involved
