The firm is seeking an Accounts & Outsourcing SemiSenior to join their dynamic and growing team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts providing clients with timely and accurate financial information.
  • Provide outsourced accounting services including bookkeeping VAT returns and payroll support ensuring clients meet their compliance obligations.
  • Act as a point of contact for clients offering support and advice on accounting and tax matters and building strong professional relationships.
  • Utilize accounting software such as Xero QuickBooks and other cloudbased systems to provide efficient services and reports.
  • Prepare statutory accounts for a portfolio of clients across various industries ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Work closely with senior team members and managers to ensure deadlines are met and contribute to a positive team culture.
  • Assist in the review of internal processes and procedures contributing ideas for improvement to ensure high standards of service delivery.


Requirements

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • AAT level 4 qualified and currently studying or looking to study towards an ACA or ACCA qualification. Candidates who are not AAT level 4 qualified will be considered provided their experience meets the other criteria of the role.
  • Previous experience working in an accountancy practice is essential with a strong background in preparing accounts and providing outsourced services.
  • A solid understanding of accounting principles and current regulations.
  • Proficiency in Xero QuickBooks Sage or similar accounting software. Experience with cloud accounting solutions is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial information to clients.
  • A commitment to providing excellent client service and building lasting client relationships.
  • A collaborative attitude with the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • A desire for professional growth with aspirations to progress within the firm.

For this fantastic Semi Senior opportunity in Wokingham, you may be an AAT studying, and/or perhaps studying ACCA or looking to build further on your experience following qualifying AAT, with a background in accountancy practice, with at least 2 - 4 years or more experience within practice, preparing accounts, tax and other responsibilities for a mixed client base of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
