We have a team ofspecialist lawyersoffering legal advice to both businesses and private clients in the region, from Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, to Teesside and North Yorkshire.


The Role

We are currently seeking an apprentice to undertake administrative duties within our Residential Property department, whilst working towards a qualification in business administration.

Main Duties
  • Opening files on practice management system
  • Undertaking Solicitors Regulation Authority checks on law firms
  • Photocopying
  • Corresponding with clients and/or other law firms by e-mail, letter or telephone to maintain file progression
  • Ordering property searches
  • Preparing completion reports and submitting to client
  • Applying to Land Registry to register completed documents
  • Scheduling completed documents and forwarding these to client
  • Closing and archiving files and updating computer systems

Requirements

Candidates for this role must:

  • Have good IT skills, including Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Be highly organised and hard working
  • Have great communication skills and be able to work in a team
  • Be keen to learn and develop
  • Be able to pick up new skills and systems easily
  • Have strong initiative skills and a can-do approach
  • Have a keen eye for detail and be able to complete tasks with a high level of accuracy
  • Be able to commute to our Newcastle office on a daily basis
