Jacksons Law Firm is now one of the longest-established law firms in the North East of England with offices in Newcastle, Teesside, and Sunderland. We have a team ofspecialist lawyersoffering legal advice to both businesses and private clients in the region, from Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, to Teesside and North Yorkshire.
The Role
We are currently seeking an apprentice to undertake administrative duties within our Residential Property department, whilst working towards a qualification in business administration.
Main Duties
- Opening files on practice management system
- Undertaking Solicitors Regulation Authority checks on law firms
- Photocopying
- Corresponding with clients and/or other law firms by e-mail, letter or telephone to maintain file progression
- Ordering property searches
- Preparing completion reports and submitting to client
- Applying to Land Registry to register completed documents
- Scheduling completed documents and forwarding these to client
- Closing and archiving files and updating computer systems

Requirements
Candidates for this role must:
- Have good IT skills, including Microsoft Word & Excel
- Be highly organised and hard working
- Have great communication skills and be able to work in a team
- Be keen to learn and develop
- Be able to pick up new skills and systems easily
- Have strong initiative skills and a can-do approach
- Have a keen eye for detail and be able to complete tasks with a high level of accuracy
- Be able to commute to our Newcastle office on a daily basis
