Company: Multidisciplinary consultancy practice

Role: Senior and intermediate Building Surveyor

Based: Camden Area London

Hybrid: Flexible working up to 2 days a week WFH

On behalf of an awardwinning multidisciplinary building consultancy practice we are seeking a Senior and an intermediate Building Surveyor with a strong foundation of technical skills and experience in mixed surveying and contract administration to join the business.



Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting surveys and putting together the results
  • Compiling condition survey reports
  • Preparing project schedules of works and specifications
  • Prepare tender documentation
  • Analysing historical records and evidence to ensure data accuracy
  • Managing delivery/progress of construction works including contract administration chairing meetings and minute preparation
  • Working closely with engineers architects and other specialists in preparing planning and other relevant submissions
  • Presenting findings in reports updates with cost programme quality risk and health and safety
  • Analysing buildings to identify any potential discrepancies with current building safety regulations

The ideal candidate

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a building surveyor
  • Good communication skills to be able to deal confidently and effectively with the client team contractors end users and colleagues
  • Project experience assisting with contract administration duties
  • Motivated to develop technical & management skills continuously
  • The preferred candidate will be close to sitting their APC or newly qualified. Achieved or progressing towards RICS professional status
  • Able to apply technical knowledge in analysing problems and creating solutions
  • Building Pathology including assisting in the diagnosis of defects identification of deleterious materials and associated remedial works
  • Driving licence and willingness to drive to sites where required
