Key Responsibilities of Finance Manager
Financial Reporting & Control
- Manage the production of all GroupManagement and Statutory accounts, ensuring that they are prepared accurately and published on a timely basis.
- Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
- Continuous improvements and maintenance of a robust financial reporting and controls framework.
- Ensure compliance with the latest accounting standards as appropriate.
- Ensure that all insurance monies are held in accordance with relevant regulations.
- Ensure alignment with Group and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure alignment with Carrier requirements.
- Regular monitoring of all insurance balances to ensure any issues are promptly identified for resolution, e.g. unallocated cash position, aged debt profile.
- Oversee all tax, regulatory and financial compliance matters.
- Ensure that all tax returns are accurate and submitted on a timely basis.
- Audit
- Collaborate with internal audit services to ensure proper compliance with all internal controls.
- Ensuring that key audit deliverables are provided on a timely basis.
- Oversee audit requirements with external auditor firm KPMG in the UK and Belgium.
- Support the Financial Controller in all matters relating to the smooth running of Our client, including all operating companies.
- Support the senior management to ensure that process and operational requirements are met.
- Working with the Systems and Data team to embed data governance protocols and data stewardship planning into planning and forecasting processes.
- Ad hoc business analysis/projects
- Any other duties assigned by your line manager relevant to the role/time.
- Qualified accountant.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills to enable communication at all levels.
- Ability to handle a varied workload and competing priorities.
- Strong analytical, research and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of different accounting standard reporting and requirements, e.g. IFRS, US GAAP
- Be willing to work onsite in Croydon 5 days a week. No hybrid working arrangements are offered.
