TPF Recruitment is currently assisting an outstanding independent accountancy practice located in Brighton in their search for an experienced Accounts Senior to join their team. This opportunity welcomes both fulltime and parttime applicants. As part of this role you will collaborate with the partners in managing their client portfolio working within a general practice capacity and catering to various ownermanaged businesses.

Key responsibilities include preparing and overseeing limited company sole trader and partnership accounts as well as managing corporation tax returns utilizing Iris software. Direct interaction with clients is integral to gather essential information for completing company accounts and tax returns promptly to adhere to filing and payment deadlines.

Additionally the role entails identifying avenues for enhancing client relationships and providing valueadded services. Meeting team and individual budget targets is paramount alongside maintaining exemplary technical and professional standards. Offering supplementary assistance and guidance to clients when necessary is also part of the role as is mentoring and nurturing junior team members to foster their growth and development.



Requirements

  • Accounting Qualification (ACCA/ACA) or qualified by experience.
  • Relevant experience of accounts and tax work in a practice environment.
  • Tax knowledge sufficient to prepare corporation tax computations and self assessment tax returns for sole traders / partnerships and ltd companies
  • Excellent communications skills and strong interpersonal skills

Qualifications and Experience: Extensive experience in a tax management role, ideally within a top 50 accountancy firm. Strong expertise in either personal tax or a mixed tax background. Proven track record of managing a diverse client portfolio. Excellent knowledge of UK tax legislation and compliance requirements. Ability to provide tax planning advice and identify tax-saving opportunities for clients. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build lasting client relationships. Previous experience in a supervisory or mentoring role, with a passion for developing junior team members.
