SEN PE Teacher Specialist School Kensington

A specialist school in Kensington is seeking a dynamic and passionate SEN PE Teacher to join their team. This is a fulltime position that offers the opportunity to create fun engaging and inclusive physical education lessons tailored to students with a wide range of special educational needs (SEN). The successful candidate will be responsible for adapting PE activities to meet diverse physical abilities ensuring every student has the opportunity to participate and enjoy physical education in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan deliver and adapt physical education lessons to meet the individual needs and abilities of SEN students.
  • Promote physical activity and wellbeing creating an inclusive and enjoyable PE experience for all students.
  • Work closely with SEN support staff and other educators to ensure that lessons are accessible and appropriately differentiated.
  • Encourage participation and teamwork fostering confidence and a positive attitude towards physical education.
  • Monitor students progress providing feedback and adapting activities as necessary to ensure student engagement and success.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a background in physical education.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs ideally in a similar role.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills with a commitment to working collaboratively with colleagues and support staff.
