Science Teacher Sought for Outstanding Secondary School in Merton

We are pleased to partner with a highachieving secondary school in Merton recently recognized as Outstanding by Ofsted. They are seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Teacher to join their thriving Science department in a fulltime permanent capacity starting as soon as possible.

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the schools unwavering commitment to academic excellence and student success. This role entails fostering a stimulating and inquirybased learning environment that cultivates scientific curiosity critical thinking and a lifelong love of learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging Science lessons aligned with the national curriculum and the schools high academic standards catering to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Create a dynamic and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation collaboration and a passion for scientific exploration.
  • Assess and monitor student progress providing constructive feedback and implementing differentiated learning strategies to support individual needs.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Science department and across the school to enrich the curriculum and contribute to extracurricular activities.
  • Stay abreast of current pedagogical approaches and developments in Science education.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Bachelors degree or higher in a Sciencerelated field (Biology Chemistry Physics or General Science).
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Science at the secondary level.
