Position Overview:
The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering a comprehensive and engaging music curriculum to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. The role entails fostering a vibrant and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity expression and musical development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver captivating music lessons that align with the national curriculum and the schools educational ethos.
- Create a stimulating classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement and participation.
- Assess and monitor student progress providing constructive feedback to facilitate individual growth.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Music department and across the school to enrich the learning experience including leading ensembles choirs or instrumental groups.
- Stay abreast of current pedagogical approaches and developments in music education.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelors degree or higher in Music or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Music at the secondary level.
