We are delighted to partner with an esteemed secondary school in Wandsworth known for its vibrant arts program in their search for a passionate and talented Drama Teacher. This fulltime permanent position offers a unique opportunity to inspire creativity confidence and selfexpression in young learners.
The Role
As a Drama Teacher you will be instrumental in fostering a love for the performing arts and nurturing the dramatic talents of students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will design and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that encourage students to explore their creativity develop their communication skills and build their selfconfidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement innovative lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and schools artistic vision.
- Direct and produce school productions and performances providing students with opportunities to showcase their talents.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their artistic development.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages collaboration and celebrates individual expression.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the Performing Arts department to enrich the overall program and contribute to extracurricular activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelors degree in Drama Theatre Studies or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Drama at the secondary level.
- A passion for the performing arts and a commitment to inspiring students.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills.
