Behaviour Mentor SEMH Specialist Lewisham

Responsibilities:

  • Develop implement and review effective behaviour management strategies tailored to the individual needs of students with SEMH.
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support helping students to manage behaviours that impact their learning improve social skills and build selfconfidence.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO and teaching staff to design and adjust personalized interventions creating a stable inclusive environment for student growth.
  • Observe and assess students progress contributing to reports and feedback that inform future support and behavioural strategies.
  • Encourage positive behaviour through mentorship and goal setting acting as a role model to support students emotional and social development.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience supporting students with SEMH needs in an educational or related setting.
  • A positive patient attitude with excellent communication and empathy skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt behaviour plans as students needs evolve.
