About the Role:

  • Design and deliver engaging and informative Religious Studies lessons across all year groups adhering to the National Curriculum.
  • Cultivate a respectful and thoughtprovoking learning environment that encourages discussions about faith philosophy and ethics.
  • Guide students in developing a comprehensive understanding of major world religions and their historical and contemporary significance.
  • Prepare students for success in external examinations (GCSE ALevel as applicable).
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Religious Studies department and contribute to schoolwide events.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Possesses a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Religious Studies or a closely related subject.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of religious beliefs and a passion for fostering interfaith dialogue.
  • Excels in communication interpersonal skills and classroom management within a singlesex learning environment.
  • Fosters a positive and inclusive learning environment that challenges and motivates students.
  • Holds a steadfast commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
