Year 6 Teacher Responsibilities
- As a Year 6 teacher you will be responsible for the pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Key Stage 2 promoting teamwork and cultivating a conducive learning environment.
- Teaching the Key Stage 2 curriculum to groups of children while also focusing on each individual childs learning targets encouraging their strengths and improving their weaknesses
- Keeping track of childrens progress and occasionally reporting back to parents
Year 6 Teacher Requirements
- A qualified teacher status (QTS) PGCE or equivalent
- Experience in teaching Year 6 students and preparing them for SATs exams
- A proven track record of delivering highquality lessons and achieving excellent academic results
- A strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment methodologies
- Excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills
- Patience resilience and a passion for teaching
- A willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues
