About the Company
Our client is a global software company specializing in the risk, insurance, and underwriting space. The firm is owned by a private equity firm and has a defined growth plan. They are in the process of acquiring a European technology firm. Our client is located in London.
As a result of the projected acquisition and organic revenue growth in other international markets, our client is hiring a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will provide accounting and reporting support for each of the legal entities in the EMEA and APAC regions.
Responsibilities
The Senior Accountant will assist the Finance Manager with all finance department activities related to the EMEA and APAC businesses, including:
- Aiding in accounts receivable-related tasks, including compiling data on overdue accounts and communicating with international customers
- Completing month-end close activities for foreign subsidiaries, including preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations and investigating income statement fluctuations
- Performing day-to-day aspects of accounting, including but not limited to, reviewing revenue-related transactions under ASC 606/IFRS 15 and investigating revenue fluctuations
- Assisting in coordinating with consultants and external auditors and compiling supporting documentation related to the statutory filings and audits of foreign subsidiaries
- Managing responsibilities related to tax and account compliance for foreign subsidiaries, such as coordinating tax-related payments and reviewing VAT returns prepared by external advisors
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree and a certification is required (ACA, ACCA CIMA or significant progress toward certification)
- 2+ years of experience in a Global Finance organization with a significant focus on financial procedures in EMEA; prior experience as an auditor is preferred;
- IFRS experience is required
- Prior involvement with technology tools is required (NetSuite and/or Vistra experience is a plus)
- SaaS accounting experience is a plus
- Fluency in French, German or Danish is a huge plus
