The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in providing first-line HR advisory services and supporting our managers across various departments.

Duration of Assignment: 12 weeks (with potential extension)

Working Hours: 20 hours per week

Tasks

  • Offer first-line HR advisory services concerning employee relations.
  • Assist managers throughout the Council in people management, including attending meetings and offering guidance.
  • Aid managers with absence management.
  • Process maternity and paternity requests.
  • Help in the revision and updating of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives.
  • Oversee HR information systems for data input and statistical analysis.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in HR advisory roles.
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in HR information systems.
