Junior Technical Support Engineer







Due to company growth, a fantastic new opportunity has come up for a Junior level Technical Support Engineer to join a successful Energy and Data organisation located in Surrey. The role is to provide technical support to a busy customer service team within a business around systems and software queries. Ensuring customer ID s are set up on a website to a high and accurate standard. Fixing more technical systems queries and where this isn t possible, passing to the development team to resolve.
Taking part in a daily stand-up with the development and testing team to share ideas and solve problems. This role would ideally suit a Graduate level candidate that has completed an IT or Computing related degree, or you will possess a minimum of 1-2 years within a Helpdesk role and are looking to progress your career within a more technical support role. Any interest in Software Development or Testing would be useful but not at all essential.
Fantastic training and on-going support on offer with the chance to progress in the future.
Skills/Experience/Attributes:
- Graduate level candidate holding a relevant IT/Computing degree
- And/or minimum 1-2 years commercial experience within a Technical IT/Helpdesk role
- Good experience of Excel, Word and Outlook
- Knowledge of SQL Server is desirable
- An interest in Software Development and or testing is useful
- Passionate about technology and willing to learn new skills/systems and technologies
- Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written
- Good customer service and call handling skills
- Problem solver and a solutionist
- Flexible to work in a smaller team and to also to work collaboratively within a much wider IT/Technical team
