The Role

Fire & Black are a growing family run company who specialise in plumbing services as well as the installation and maintenance of eco wood burning stoves across the southern counties.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Plumber/Wood Stove Installer to join our team in Kent. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing and looking to extend their knowledge in installing wood stoves and fireplaces with a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation: Install wood stoves fireplaces and related equipment in residential properties.

Safety Compliance: Ensure all installations comply with relevant safety standards and building regulations.

Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service including explaining the installation process and answering any questions.

Site Assessment: Conduct site assessments to determine the best installation approach.

Documentation: Complete all necessary documentation including installation reports and safety certificates.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and subcontractors to ensure smooth and efficient installations.

Requirements

Qualifications/ Requirements:

Experience: Proven experience working as a Heating Maintenance Engineer/Domestic Gas Engineer/Plumber or in a similar role within a domestic setting.

Certification required: Full Driving License & Level 2 or 3 Plumbing

Technical Skills: Technical skills and knowledge of plumbing installations.

Communication: Excellent communication and customer service skills.

ProblemSolving: Strong problemsolving abilities and attention to detail.

Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various environments.
