TPF Recruitment is assisting an independent firm of chartered accountants in their search for an Audit Senior. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified or partqualified professional to take on a key role within the firms audit department.

Role:
The Audit Senior will be primarily responsible for leading audit engagements while also contributing to accounts preparation. The split of work is predominantly auditfocused with approximately 70% of the role dedicated to audit and 30% to accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing audit assignments from planning to completion ensuring they are completed within budget and deadlines.
  • Supervising junior team members during audit engagements providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Reviewing work performed by junior staff ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards.
  • Preparing statutory accounts for a range of clients including limited companies partnerships and sole traders.
  • Liaising with clients to discuss audit findings provide advice and resolve queries.
  • Assisting with the development of audit methodologies and procedures to enhance efficiency and quality.


Requirements

Requirements:
Newly or part Qualified ACA/ACCA
Significant recent audit experience
Strong technical skills and experience of UK GAAP and FRS 102 reporting
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships
A team player who is also comfortable leading juniors

Salary:
The salary for this position ranges from 40000 to 45000 depending on experience and qualifications.

Part-qualified or newly qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent qualification Previous experience in audit engagements within an accountancy practice environment Strong technical knowledge of auditing and accounting standards (UK GAAP, FRS, and IFRS) Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Effective communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work well independently and as part of a team Commitment to professional development and continuous learning
