We are a leading steel fabrication company specialising in the design engineering fabrication supply and installation of a wide variety of structural steelwork plant and bespoke projects.

We are currently seeking a Project Manager to coordinate site installation projects across the UK. In this role you will collaborate with our inhouse team including the fabrication workshop manager design team purchasing department health and safety manager and operations team as well as liaising with suppliers and customers to ensure successful project delivery.

This challenging role is ideal for someone who is highly motivated organised and possesses excellent communication skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Organise plan and manage site projects to meet schedule and budget targets.
  • Coordinate site activities with commissioning technical and site staff.
  • Maintain effective communication with site engineers and suppliers ensuring all stakeholders are informed about project progress and issues.
  • Liaise with the fabrication workshop manager to ensure smooth operations.
  • Source and manage all sitebased deliveries shipments and hire equipment.
  • Conduct preinstallation and postinstallation checks to identify potential issues and solutions.
  • Prepare detailed installation reports for all onsite activities and recommend actions.
  • Ensure compliance with all site rules and health and safety standards.


Requirements

  • Solid background in managing/supervising steel fabrication and machinery installation projects.
  • Ideally from a steel fabrication background with experience in CDM projects.
  • Experience in the construction materials industry is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with project stakeholders and direct teams.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • Good report writing skills.


  • Benefits

    Flexibility to travel to customer sites and work away from home during installations is essential. Regular attendance at the head office for project review meetings will also be required.
